Backyard Discoveries

Sometime we think we have to travel a long distance to get some new pictures.  Many times these opportunities are right in our own backyard.  Something that you've seen hundreds of times and all of the sudden you see it in a different light.

Or maybe it is a new visitor that has arrived unexpectedly.

We are often in a hurry and as a result do not stop to take the opportunities to enjoy the simple things around us.  Join me in making a resolution to slow down a little and really see where we are.  In photography, and in life

Enjoy the day,
George

Web Site: Portrait of a Business: Part II

I am a portrait photographer, but have also done my fair share of product shots.  The conversations during these product portrait sittings is pretty much one sided (even if it wasn't I wouldn't admit to it) and the subjects don't listen very well.  Nevertheless, we can draw the best out of our subjects and put them in their best light.  The first photograph sets the mood.

As part of their website, the owners of Cigar 57 wanted some product photographs to provide a sampling of some of the products they offer in their store.  These are photographs that depict the types of products offered, rather than highlighting the individual products.

We had fun working with Ken and Linda in putting together a portrait of their business. The picture is now complete. Don't forget to visit us at www.georgeaubreyphotography.com .

Enjoy the day.
